Exploring bioplastics recycling: PROSPER, MoeBIOS and ReBioCycle share 1st-year results, new policies, and cost-benefit insights for a circular bioeconomy

The Bioplastics Recycling Cluster Talks will run from September 2025 to March 2026, featuring monthly sessions on technologies, digital tools, and design-for-recycling strategies.

This workshop focuses on the main priorities of the European Union’s new Bioeconomy Strategy. It highlights the importance of increasing the sustainable use of renewable biological resources, particularly in key sectors such as packaging and agriculture.

On 26-27 March 2025, the PROSPER consortium will meet in Madrid to review the progress made in the first six months of the project. Partners will discuss key milestones, challenges, and next steps.

The goal of this EBC 24 side event on Recycling strategies for bioplastics is to connect experts working on novel or improved recycling and upcycling technologies for bioplastics from academia and industrial stakeholders.

Research projects traditionally organise Kick Off Meetings (KOM) which provide the first occasion for all the partners to meet in person, having only talked via video during the months of preparing the project proposal.
